For the past three years, at HealAmerica Inc., we have reached out to community organizations to address their resource shortages by organizing donation drives. While able to solve these organizations' immediate emergency, we are hoping for a more efficient and long-term solution.
This is where we introduce: the HealAmerica App. In the next year, we are in the works of creating an app that can revolutionize how our nation addresses resource shortages in communities.

A glimpse at the root problem
Charity organizations nationwide are unable to provide critical resources in time to those who need them the most because:
There is a high demand for wellness resources but organizations are facing supply shortfalls
Current donation and volunteer gathering methods are highly time consuming and inefficient
Smaller organizations don't have the outreach to effectively provide for their community
As a result, at HealAmerica, we aim to be an organization that bridges this gap and fixes wellness resource distribution nationwide.
Initiatives
Feminine Hygiene Resources
Right after the pandemic, many women and children struggled with financial and wellness difficulties. With the repercussions of the pandemic new to everyone, as the primary shelter for Women and Children, Natasha House wasn’t able to completely meet the necessities needed from the overload of those relying on the shelter’s help. When it came to our attention, HealAmerica Inc. partnered with the Natasha House to help combat this shortage. Since then, we have continued working towards providing feminine hygiene products for the women.
Food Resources
With the rising cost of food with the inflation crisis, Virginia Peninsula Food Bank has had many major crises of food donation shortages. Virginia has been going through heightened food insecurity and food banks need aid. To help combat this food distribution gap, we initiated our Food Drives initiative to help gather donations from the community to help those in need.
Positivity Blankets
During the cold winter holiday season, many children of community shelters don’t always have access to blankets to keep them warm. To address this issue, we started the “Positivity Blankets” initiative, in which HealAmerica's volunteers stitched hand-designed positive message fabrics onto blankets. The goal of the project has been to help ensure children can stay warm during the cold holiday season.
